Janice Alper is an octogenarian who writes personal essays, poetry, and memoirs. She is happily retired from a long career as a Jewish educator and communal worker. She enjoys walking on the beach, volunteering at the Birch Aquarium and attending adult learning classes at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UCSD. Every day is a new day where she learns something new.
